What will Jeroen Mengerink and Michiel Keij be discussing?

Living architecture: A quality view

Architectural designs often remain static blueprints, disconnected from the reality of implemented software. This leads to inconsistencies and silos of knowledge, which in its turn leads to a significant loss in overview and adaptability of systems. By coupling architectural diagrams with live test results, our approach transforms architectural documentation into a living, breathing entity that reflects the system’s actual state. As tests pass or fail, the architectural view is updated to show these test results in the connected parts of the architecture. The talk will explore how this method enhances communication between developers, architects, and quality assurance, providing a consistent view of system quality while fostering continuous improvement.
