Lalit developed the QCSD (Quality Conscious Software Delivery) framework and contributes dedicated QCSD agents to the open-source Agentic QE project (agentic-qe.dev) founded by Dragan Spiridonov addressing the 70% problem by ensuring testing capacity is spent on intellectual work rather than clerical activities.

What will Lalitkumar Bhamare be discussing?

The 70% Problem: Reclaiming Testing’s Intellectual Core with Agent Assisted QCSD

The software testing profession has existed for approximately 70 years, yet nothing has fundamentally transformed it to deliver on what it was always capable of. Industry reports show that almost 70% of testing capacity is spent on testing-related activities—documentation, environment setup, test data preparation, status reporting—while only 30% is devoted to actual testing that creates real value.

Organizations have tried to automate away testing for decades. It never worked because the real value comes from the intellectual part: asking the right questions, critical evaluation, risk analysis, deep exploration, and informed decision-making. But mastering this craft requires years of investment that organizations see as overhead. Hence, the widespread acceptance of “testing as artefact-building”—easy to automate, but without substantial value.

What if you could reclaim that 70% without compromising the intellectual core? Agent Assisted QCSD combines Lalit’s QCSD philosophy with the open-source Agentic QE framework created by Dragan Spiridonov (agentic-qe.dev). The result: purpose-built agents that encode context-driven approaches, risk-based thinking, and deep exploration techniques.

In this talk, Lalit will demonstrate how these purpose-built AI agents bring QCSD wisdom in practice, thereby amplifying effectiveness of Testers. This isn’t automation replacing testers; it’s accumulated wisdom amplifying what testers can do.
